ESC (2024)
'ESC' is my graduate film in progress, co-created and working in collaboration with Pamela Simoes Gomez. Our story follows an office-worker rabbit who is confined to an endless daily cycle of paperwork and meetings. One day, an encounter with a wild rabbit leads him on a surreal journey down the rabbit hole, changing his reality forever.
Squab (2023)
'Squab' is my most recent project, a stop motion short film concluding my second year of university. The story is set in a not-too-distant future, where a pigeon falls in love with a robot pigeon, and will soon find out the lengths he must go to in order to be loved and accepted.
'Squab' was selected and screened at HOME Cinema, Manchester, as well as being featured in the Official Selection for Cardiff Animation Nights, Alternative Film Festival, and Wales International Film Festival. I was thrilled and so excited to have such a positive reception to my work during my first experience screening and entering film festivals!
Incredibly, 'Squab' was also nominated for Best Animation at the RTS North West Student awards in March 2024!
Out Of Office (2022)
My final film of my first year at university.
Berta, a robot doomed to spend her life working alone in an abandoned office, catches a glimpse of the outside world and a promise of a freedom she's never felt, forcing her to consider how far she'll go to touch her dream.
In March 2023, 'Out Of Office' was nominated for Best Animation at the RTS North-West Student Awards!
human, nature (2021)
The concluding piece to my final major project of my Art Foundation Diploma.
Entitled "human, nature", this piece synthesises exploration and research into the relationship between humans and nature, and specifically the reverence of nature expressed through nature worship and Paganistic cult practices. It also considers reasoning behind abandoning ordinary lifestyles in pursuit of the 'Supernature' and the reaction to an overwhelmingly modern and technological world.

(I'm the one in the middle!)
Hi, my name's Liv and I'm an animation student in my final year at Manchester Metropolitan University.My focus within animation is stop motion, as I am a hands-on maker, however I love being creative across many mediums and skillsets, and recently have really enjoyed learning to make some 3D models in Maya.My interest in art ran all through school and into an Art Foundation Diploma, where I began to transition my focus from fine art painting to filmmaking, prop and model-making, and animation, leading me into my undergraduate studies.During my time so far at university, I have gained a wide range of skills including: stop motion animating, puppet fabrication, set design and fabrication, model-making, character sculpting, character concept art and design, storyboarding, scriptwriting and video editing.
